In my senior, year I led Formula Electric at Berkeley's powertrain team in the design, manufacturing, testing, and assembly of the team's first ever running powertrain. The design featured a turnbuckle style tensioning system which improved tunability, manufacturability, and weight drastically over the previous year's eccentric chain tensioner. It also featured the team's first active cooling system that featured a radiator shroud and was fully equipped with thermocouples to inform future cooling system design.

The powertrain system passed mechanical inspection on the initial pass, a first in the team's history. The car also raced at the Holley High Voltage event, the first time our team's car had ever drove!
